That day I’ve visited a Tonkatsu restaurant at Kanda Tacho, Chiyodaku, Tokyo, whose name is “Tonkatsu Sun”.
Asking whether or not I could take photos in this restaurant, unfortunately the Tonkatsu craftspersons replied that they would not like me to take the photos of themselves and those of their cooking Tonkatsu. However, concerning the photos of their dishes of the Tonkatsu, they said OK.
In terms of Tonkatsu in Japan, personally, I recommend the pork “fillet” cutlet rather than the pork “loin” cutlet. It’s because pork loin cutlet is a little too oily.
About their dishes of the “fillet” cutlet & the “loin” cutlet at this restaurant, according to the quality and quantity they serve three grades respectively. For your reference, the above two photos are those of the middle grade.
